Why are Townie and Visitor ratings shown separately?
We aggregate ratings from locals (Townies) of the restaurant’s neighborhood separately from ratings by outside visitors, so you can tell apart the spots neighborhood regulars truly love from the ones that are popular with tourists.
How do I get verified as a Townie?
Register an area under "My info → My home turf", then complete GPS verification near that area’s registered address (within ~50 m) on 3 different days within the last 30 days. You can register up to 3 areas.
Why does the shown rating differ from the plain star average?
We use a Bayesian-adjusted rating so a single review can’t swing the score when there are few reviews. As reviews accumulate it converges to the true average; with no reviews, no score is shown.
Do reviews really need 50+ characters?
Yes. For trustworthy reviews, only reviews with a body of 50 characters or more are listed and counted toward the rating.
A restaurant is missing. Can I add it?
Pan the map and tap "Search this area". If it still isn’t there, use the center + button to recommend (register) it yourself. Restaurant data is entered directly by users.
I want to delete my account.
You can delete it immediately under "My info → Delete account". Reviews you wrote and restaurants you registered remain anonymized (authorship removed) so other users’ ratings stay intact.
